Dizziness & Balance Treatment

Dizziness & Balance Treatment

Balance is a key part of daily life, from getting dressed in the morning to walking down the street. Balance disorders and dizziness can be very debilitating, leading to unsteadiness, risk of falls and fall related injuries. These risks can cause a loss of confidence and independence, which can drastically limit your daily life.

Vestibular rehabilitation is a specialised form of physiotherapy that focuses on the treatment of conditions causing dizziness, balance problems, and nausea. It helps to retrain balance and spatial orientation mechanisms to effectively reduce your symptoms and encourage optimal function of your vestibular system.

Jecy, our physiotherapist, is skilled in both vestibular and neurological physiotherapy. She will do a detailed assessment of your concerns and provide you with strategies and exercises to help you feel better.

Vestibular rehabilitation can be helpful for the treatment of:

A

Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV)

A

Dizziness due to labyrinthitis, vestibular neuritis and other vestibular disorders

Testimonials

See what our happy patients have to say about us!

"Sarah has been wonderful in helping me to understand and resolve pain in my back and arm. I had tried a number of other treatments before I tried osteopathy with Sarah, and was thrilled that within a few sessions the pain had gone. Sarah's kind, empathetic and gentle approach is fantastic, especially if you feel nervous about treatment. The whole session is very relaxing and Sarah explains everything clearly each step of the way. I think the way that Sarah works with you to heal yourself is quite magical and leaves you feeling much stronger and capable than ever. I'm very grateful to Sarah for her help and expertise."

"Anna has been treating me for chronic TMJ issues and ear pressure issues using myofunctional therapy and osteopathy work. I have seen numerous senior ENT related specialists over the last few months and Anna has been the only one to help me. I cannot recommend her kind nature, understanding, patience and incredible knowledge enough"

"I was lucky enough to get a last-minute appointment with Richard yesterday at Cranleigh Osteopaths. He came highly recommended and I have to say that he is amazing. His manner is gentle and he instils great confidence. I have always arrived rather broken, but the next day I feel a different person - lighter, with more mobility and in happier spirits. "

"I receive regular treatment by Sarah Ellen at Cranleigh Osteopathic Practice for on-going back and hip issues caused by an old injury and continued high impact activity. Sarah will identify areas that need treating, concentrating on the body as a whole and finding connected issues. I always leave feeling flexible and pain free. I can highly recommend her treatment.
